I'm from Lancaster, PA, home of what has been declared "the country's oldest continuously operating farmer's market" - Central Market. Everywhere I go, I look for its equivalent, and rarely have I found the same mix of fresh, local produce, seafood, prepared food, other cooking ingredients, and knickknacks all in one place. I am delighted to find myself living next to Central Market's outdoor Chinese cousin.
The view of the market from my window:

Tofu Lady, who also sells hot, fresh soymilk:

Bing Lady, where I often get a breakfast of lightly fried, meat or veggie-filled patties ("bing"). Yum!
