Pick-up Lines

The prompt was: Once a crazy idea crossed my mind...My student, Dragon, wrote:
Once a crazy idea crossed my mind.  After watching many love movies, I turn out an idea that why am I still waiting to meet my snow white?  What if I talk directly to a girl I met on the road and asked her if she could be my girl friend.  For a couple of days I spent a lot of time to manage my mind.  How to speak the first word?  "Excuse me? Are you still single?" No, that's too weird.  "Hello miss, I would be so glad that you could answer a few questions.  here it is..."  Well, this is one sounds rigid.  "Hello beauty, I have met you several times, may be you don't know, but I really want to make friends with you, may I have the honor to have your phone number?"  That's cool, at least it sounds cool to me.  The next question is: Where can I make such opportunity?  On the way to class.  No, that's annoying...
My response was longer than his speed-write.  But unfortunately I don't think any of it was that helpful because a. I've never uttered a pick-up line in my life and b. poor Dragon is spending 4 years of his life at a technology university, living in a boys-only dorm with a 10:45 pm curfew, and he has most of his classes with the same 30 people, only 5 of whom are girls.  To give him something specific, I scribbled out the names of some cute-date places around campus, but that doesn't help him get the girl there in the first place.

Meanwhile, his classmate wrote about his idea that DUT should set up a major for "students who want to be modles for cars" because "most of modles are girls and most of these girls are lovely."  His proposed plan would make "college life...more interesting, not only just learning and computer games."  And maybe Dragon, the strapping young vehicle engineer, could find a "lovely modle" to be his girlfriend!

  1. You could sign your student up for this course that teaches single Chinese guys "The Art of the Pick Up"... although its a little pricey at 1,000 yuan for one day!
